Hello everyone, I am Pastor Jim Galbraith, and I joined our church in January of 2012. I

previously served in Port Alberni and Prince Rupert, BC. I have also been a youth pastor and a camp

director. My wife Lori and I have been married for 27 years and we have three adult sons and a

daughter in law: Chris & Erin, Matthew and Joel.

I am very impressed by the people here at FBC - we are a friendly, committed group of people that

are actively involved in the community. This church loved me and my family through a very

difficult time, and now that cancer is a distant memory, I enjoy serving these fantastic folks!

I am a graduate of Regent College in Vancouver. I enjoy reading historical fiction like the

Aubrey/Maturin sea-going sagas, fishing and geocaching - an activity in which we use billion dollar

satellites to help us find Tupperware in the woods. There are some awesome hiking trails in this area,

as long as you don't mind donating blood to the mosquitoes!

Since moving to the area I have been introduced to ski-dooing and ice-fishing. I now appreciate how

good chicken noodle soup can taste when heated up on a wood stove, sitting in a shack on top of 18

inches of ice! I have earned the nickname "Jackfish Jim", ever since I caught a 10 pound jack and

bragged about it. That was one tasty fish! I've also had the pleasure of touring the 777 mine, which

burrows down deeper than a mile into the Canadian Shield. Flin Flon is truly a remarkable place.
